Human beings are not alone in this world. A man cannot survive without interacting with his/her surroundings. They all are connected with each other in different forms. It is essential for all human beings to interact with the world.

A new baby comes into the world he has to interact with his mother, father, and other family members in his family. This relationship is interconnecting with other same species in the universe.

What is the relationship?

Well, the definition of a relationship varies from person to person. But the general definition of a relationship is a close connection between two people.  It can also be defined as “a state of being connected”. A relationship is a way in which two or more are connected with each other by birth, marriage, or friendship.


What are the types of relationships?

There are some common factors such as likes, dislikes, blood, bonding, and attraction that connects us to other people. The kind of love we receive from different relationships varies and is based on the type of relationship that you are having. There are many types of relationships that connect us with other people around us. Here,  I will explore four main types of relationships. 

  • Family relationships
  • Friendships 
  • Acquaintanceships 
  • Romantic relationships

Family Relationships

Family relationships involve people to whom you are related in some way or other. The people with whom you are living within your household. As such you have a strong bonding with your mother, father, siblings, and grandparents.

 Furthermore, you are also connected with your cousins, uncles, aunts, and other distant family relations. The bonding that you have with each member of your family plays a major role in your overall being. Some people are close to their family and others prefer to maintain distance from their family. But this thing affects a person's life in different ways.

Friendships

The relation you share with friends, co-workers, fellows, and others is termed as friendly relationships. You may decide to get dinner, chill, go for a trip and you may begin to open up more about the details of your jobs, your families, and your personal histories. In friendship you sometimes make intentional plans to spend time together more regularly.

Romantic Relationships

This is one of the complex and beautiful relationships. The relationship is shared with girlfriends, boyfriends, and spouses. These relationships are filled up with lots of love, trust, and understanding and all these are the parameters in the relationship which are responsible for the success or failure of the same time. Many people identify that friendship is a feature of long-term love.

Acquaintanceships

An acquaintance is a person you know, but he/she is not a close friend or closed relative of you.  Acquaintances can be people you have just met as well as people you have known for a while. For having this type of relationship it is not necessarily the amount of time you’ve known a person that makes them acquaintance but it might be possible to become close friends quickly.

An example of an acquaintance is someone you regularly encounter at social events and you just may have a brief conversation when you see each other but never make plans to see each other. Well, the person who is a close friend of your close friend and he becomes acquaintance until and unless he/she becomes close friends to you.

How to have a healthy relationship?

All types of relationships go through ups and downs. When your relationship is getting loose or just starting out, then you need to take a step toward building a healthy relationship. You may have experienced a lot of failed relationships in the past and struggled to handle in your relationship, here you can learn to stay connected, find fulfillment, and enjoy lasting happiness.

Well, every relationship is unique and people come together for many different reasons. A healthy relationship is setting a common goal for what exactly you want in your relationship to be and where you want to go. However, the following are some of the characteristics that most healthy relationships have in common.  Knowing and implementing these principles can help you out to keep your relationship meaningful and exciting.
