A new commencement!!!

‘’…But I can’t. I can’t do that, I mean, how can I? Please! Oh please! Don’t do this me. That’s not just a painting but it’s my twenty years of privation and hardship right there.’’ The painter sobbed in his tears, frightened by the idea that his most beloved piece of art, his life’s work is going to be demolished at any moment. ‘’No I won’t let you do it, this is my life and I won’t let any soul even touch….’’, the painter was silenced by the incomprehensible gaze of his teacher. “Son, why don’t you take your glasses off and have a gawk at the painting again.’’ as instructed, the painter removed the glasses from his eyes and gazed at the painting. For his amusement, something was way off. It didn’t take a whole second to understand what his teacher meant. The curves were all wrong and the colors did not make any sense at all. The painting appeared to be nothing but child’s play. Neither did it look like the work of a professional nor could someone tell the colossal amount of time it had consumed to be completed. ’’Oh son, if only you had removed the glasses in the time being…’’ the teacher paused with a grin on his face and suddenly, disappeared into the mist.

I know what you are thinking. What has the story to do with me? Couldn’t this man come up with something fruitful? What a waste of computerized ink and blah…blah…blah…!!! Wait a minute, as familiar as it seems, this is the story of every other person living in the contemporary world. Surprisingly, many of us, like the painter, are living in what I call a constipated existence. We are hardworking, passionate, and confident but also blind, self-centered, and ‘‘I-know-it-all-and-see-it-all’’ mentality people. Our lives have been shaped by all kinds of experiences and other random events. These experiences, which are, for some reason, considered to be extremely personal, but are highly probable when considered in a global context and happens to countless many other people having the same lifestyles and quality of life (for example, not being able to get into some university you always dreamed to attend might seem like some special treatment from god but almost every high school graduate has the same problem), equip us with a certain frame of sight and mindset (in our case, the sunglasses) and this mindset is the tombstone for all the believes and ideas people can develop in their lives. Now, these beliefs serve as the fuel for the faith and the whole cycle continues for infinite time for as long as belief and reality are segregate only by a piece of white cloth deep buried in a shit lot of earth.

The time has come now. It’s calling us, right there; on the horizon. It’s calling us to wake up. Wake up from the self-made misery and non-existing abhorrence. As of now, as you read this article, it’s calling you to stop! It’s calling you to remove the glasses and look at life as it was supposed to be looked at. A life where crossing a black cat doesn’t mean anything else but crossing a black cat. A life where a burger is something to eat, not a title devoted to a person. A life where breaking up with someone doesn’t make you sound like a person with a bad personality and makes you question your existence. A life where things are not for a purpose, they just are and that is enough. A life where it’s okay to give up, where failure and success don’t exist whatsoever. A life where you are the creator and the creation of your own believes, not some random person in the god-forsaken place whom you never knew existed. A life where without any purpose but to be lived and lived it is. It’s time for a fresh start!

Hmm...so this is where you write about yourself. Well, I am just a regular brown dude, pursuing a degree in engineering and trying to shares his perspectives with the world with zero intention for harm. For me, writing has been the thing you always wanted to do but wouldn’t do because of some impractical excuse that no one cares about. I write with the mindset of enjoying the process and making sure that my audience has a fun experience and something fruitful to take away, at least that's the plan!
